Les Arches is a typical stone Charentaise townhouse in the pretty town of St Savinien. Once part of a farm the house is now a spacious light and airy 5 bedroomed, 5 showeroomed holiday home. The pretty leisure island of La Grenouillette is less than 5 minutes walk away surrounded by the beautiful Charente River. There is an outdoor swimming pool complex, tennis courts, crazy golf and children’s playground. There are bikes for hire. You can take a boat trip to Taillebourg and historic Saintes. St Savinien train station is 10 mins walk away. Trains to La Rochelle or Saintes. St Savinien is a beautiful historic small town with a Castle and Châteaux. There is a market on Saturday morning, 4 excellent Boulangeries and patisseries and an Intermarche supermarket. There are 4 restaurants and bars in the town and a pizza takeaway. St Savinien is situated between the towns of Saintes, Saint Jean d'Angély and Rochefort, around 40 mins from the sea.
